Baltimore Ravens fans, as well as the rest of the NFL, know Lamar Jackson is one of the fastest quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. And now, Madden has decided to put the second-year quarterback on a pedestal as they made him the fastest quarterback ever in the latest iteration of their game.

Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, the popular football video game franchise will give Jackson a 96 speed rating, the fastest rating a quarterback has ever gotten in the Madden series. The previous person who held the highest rating was legendary scrambler in Michael Vick, who had a 95 rating.

In a Twitter post talking about the achievement, Vick called the event an “honor and privilege” as he's able to see the legacy of the scrambling quarterback in safe hands.

Moreover, he showed his support to the Ravens QB as he called out the critics questioning Jackson's ability to throw the football.

“Now they're eating their words,” Vick said in his Twitter video. “Lamar's the modern-day, new-era quarterback. And well deserving of it.

“The changing of the guard is all good, man. All records are made to be broken. The next generation are supposed to be better than us. Got to give credit where credit is due. I say, it's your turn now.”

Jackson is running away with the MVP title this season, notching 2427 passing yards and a league-leading 24 passing touchdowns in 11 starts. He's complemented that with incredible running, notching 876 rushing yards and six TDs.

Vick was a legendary scrambler. While he was suspended for two years due to his off-field controversies, he was able to have an outstanding career for himself. He finished his 13-year career with 22,464 passing yards, 133 passing touchdowns, 6,109 rushing yards, and 36 rushing touchdowns.
