The grand jury came to a decision on the death of Breonna Taylor, with none of the police officers involved being charged with murder. In response to the decision that was made, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens spoke out on wanting justice for Taylor.

Back in March, Taylor was shot and killed by police after the authorities wrongfully raided her apartment in Lousiville, Kentucky. Taylor was a black medical worker in Louisville, who was sleeping when she was shot and killed.

Ever since her death occurred, Lamar Jackson, other NFL players, and many others have been asking for the police officers involved in the shooting to be arrested. However, none of them were arrested and none of them will be charged for their wrongdoing.

After months of investigating Taylor's death, it was the grand jury in Louisville has determined the officers involved won't be charged. As a result, athletes and people across the world have expressed their disappointment in the verdict that was made.

At the same time, there have been riots and protests that have been taking place in Louisville in recent days. There were two police officers shot during protests on Wednesday night.

Besides Taylor, there have unfortunately been other racial injustice victims in the past year. Names like George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Jacob Blake were other names that shouldn't be forgotten.

Lamar Jackson himself has experienced being racially profiled in the NFL due to being a black quarterback in the NFL. Before he became an NFL MVP, some thought that Jackson wouldn't be able to succeed at quarterback with no legitimate reasoning behind it.

It goes without saying that the decision on Taylor's case is utterly disheartening and saddening. While Jackson is expected to stick to football, he's voicing his frustration on the lack of justice that Taylor and her family received.
