A few days ago, news broke about Patrick Mahomes' record-shattering contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs and the entire sporting world took notice. And though there's no doubt Mahomes' deserves every dime he'll get out of the new deal, Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram believes there's another star quarterback who's earned the same money or even more.

In short clip featured on CBS Sports, the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner was asked how much he thinks teammate and 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson is worth, in the context of Mahomes new contract. Ingram replied, “He's gotta be right up, at least the same amount if not more.”

Ingram also added,”I know he's chomping at the bit to get his opportunity to get his extension, but he's not worried about that he just wanna play good ball, he wanna win games.” Alluding to his star quarterback's mentality regarding the issue. Ingram finished off by saying,” We know LJ's gonna secure that bag real soon.”

A three-time Pro Bowler, Ingram signed a three-year $15 million contract with Baltimore last year and joined Jackson in his first full season as the franchise's starting quarterback. Ingram and Jackson would help lead the Ravens to a 14-2 regular season, the team's best finish in history. Jackson was named MVP and led the league in touchdowns thrown while Ingram would chip in with 10 rushing and five receiving touchdowns.

The Baltimore Ravens will enter the 2020 season as two-time defending AFC North division champions and will look to make a Super Bowl for the first time in the Lamar Jackson era.
