The Baltimore Ravens are still reeling from their disappointing finish to the 2017 NFL season. As a result, they could be undergoing a bit of a youth movement this offseason.

There had been some speculation regarding the futures of wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and Danny Woodhead's future in Baltimore. According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun, that has not changed up to this point going into free agency:

“That list hasn’t changed since the first day of the offseason. Several of the veterans believed to be in jeopardy are running back Danny Woodhead, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, linebacker Albert McClellan and Webb. The Ravens’ salary cap situation is tight enough where offensive tackle Austin Howard and cornerback Brandon Carr have been speculated as candidates even though both had solid 2017 seasons with the Ravens and the team doesn’t have obvious replacements for them on the roster.”

The Ravens had been in control of their own playoff destiny down the stretch of last season. Unfortunately, they were unable to clinch a Wild Card spot, missing the postseason for the third straight time.

That said, it seems the Ravens are looking to replace the aforementioned names with some younger talent. Both Maclin and Woodhead endured injuries throughout the season en route to the worst years of their perspective careers. Their lack of production and veteran status could ultimately be the reason they end up on the free agent market this offseason.

Meanwhile, Baltimore should be concerned with potentially having to waive cornerback Brandon Carr and offensive tackle Austin Howard. The Ravens' secondary is incredibly thin while the protection of quarterback Joe Flacco is something that can never be compromised if they are to remain competitive in the AFC North.
