Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson's name was listed on the team's injury report on Saturday ahead of their Monday night game in Philadelphia. Peterson is questionable for the team's division matchup with the Eagles after being held out of practice on Thursday with a shoulder injury and participating on a limited basis on Friday and Saturday.

A prior report had indicated that Peterson wouldn't be listed on the report after participating in practice the last few days, but Washington appears to be erring on the side of caution with their 33-year old bell cow running back.

Peterson has been battling that shoulder injury since early October and has yet to miss a start, so there is an expectation that he will play. Yet with Washington not playing until Monday night, there are few alternatives for Peterson's fantasy owners should he not suit up against the Eagles.

In his first season with Washington, Peterson has started all 11 games and is on pace for the eighth 1,000 rushing yard season of his career. It would be his first 1,000-yard season since 2015. However, more than a third of Peterson's 758 rushing yards have come in two games— he rushed for 120 yards versus the Packers in week three and 149 yards versus the Giants in week eight.

Football Outsiders ranks Philadelphia's rush defense as 24th in the league. It will be important to monitor Peterson's status, but as long as he suits up there's a possibility that the 33-year old running back will look like his younger self once again in Philly.
