It has been a strange season for Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum. From being the starting quarterback at the start of the season to having his head coach be fired midway through the season. Then to have his starting job taken away by rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who may or may not be prepared for the role he's in now.

But now that Haskins is injured, Keenum gave a blunt response as to what to do in this situation, via Les Carpenter of the Washington Post.

“You play football, man.”

With a team that has all of the dysfunction that the Redskins have, it's refreshing to see someone that is level-headed. After all that Keenum has been through since being traded from the Denver Broncos to the Redskins in favor of Joe Flacco, he has a very optimistic outlook on how everything is going in his career while joking around.

“You know, there are things that they didn’t tell you as a kid, growing up, that you’ll have to deal with [as an NFL quarterback]. We’re playing a kids’ game. We’re just big kids playing a little kids’ game. We get paid for it, which is great. You just have to go out and have fun.

You get frustrated, but you deal with it. You control what you can control, you push through all the other noise that circles around, and when it comes down to it you play football and you love the guys in this locker room and you learn from it. You move on from it, and you grow.”

It's a mindset that we can all aspire to attain. Keenum and the Redskins will take on the Dallas Cowboys this week in the season finale.
