Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson knows that the writing is on the wall and this is his probably his last year with the team.

The Redskins used a first-round draft pick on Doctson, but he hasn't lived up the expectations, and the team didn't pick up his fifth-year option for next season. For many people, it might be frustrating not knowing where he is going to be playing football next year, but he seems at peace with the decision.

“I think I'm hitting free agency next year. I won't be the first, won't be the last,” Doctson said via ESPN. “It's nothing to be sad about, be mad about. Someone wants you there, so it's all love.”

He also isn't using not knowing where his next job is at motivation; rather, he is just focused on being the best he can be this season for the Redskins.

“No, because that would mean it would have gotten to me and I'd feel some type of way. There's no motivation,” he said. “I'm not trying to prove nothing to nobody. Just trying to get chemistry with the quarterbacks.”

Last season, Doctson played in 15 games catching 44 passes for 532 yards and two touchdowns. He has shown flashes of why he can be a standout wide receiver in the league, but the biggest problem is he hasn't been consistent and is a big reason why the team decided not to give him an extension.

This is a big season for Doctson trying to not only help the team have success this year but also earning his next contract, probably with another team.
