New York Giants players and fans were upset to see Odell Beckham Jr. be traded from the team earlier this offseason. Along with them, Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman was also perturbed to see the wide receiver leave the NFC East.

Per Darryl Slater in NJ.com:

“I loved playing against that guy,” Norman told NJ Advance Media last week. “He’s gotten better as a player, understanding how to play the game a little bit more so than he did in the past, to where we can actually play and have some type of respect factor there with each other, to be like, ‘OK, that was a pretty cool little route.’ But now, you’re going to miss that a little bit. You like to go against the best. And he’s one of the best. So that’s what I’ll miss the most.”

As some may know, Beckham Jr. was moved to the Cleveland Browns in a blockbuster trade that shook the whole sports world. Upon his arrival in Cleveland, the Browns have lofty expectations for the 2019 season.

As it pertains to the electric wide receiver and Norman, the two didn't get off on the right foot. The two ultra-competitive players faced each other for the first time in 2015 when Norman was with the Carolina Panthers.

In that game, Beckham Jr. caught six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Above all though, Norman got the last laugh with the Panthers taking the victory over the Giants.

Following that season, Norman added more fuel to the fire by joining the Redskins in 2016. Over the past three seasons, Norman and Beckham Jr. faced each other twice a year in the NFC East.

Now, with Beckham Jr. making his way to Cleveland, Norman will cherish the time they had against each other over the years. Maybe they can both can settle their differences now and become best friends off of the field.
