The Washington Redskins hit a home run when they selected wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

McLaurin's had at least five receptions, 60 yards, and one touchdown in all three games so far. In total, he has 16 receptions for 257 yards and three touchdowns through three weeks. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that's really good.

However, it appears the first issue may be cropping up.

According to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com, McLaurin missed practice on Friday due to a hamstring injury.

McLaurin was limited in practice on Thursday and now missed practice on Friday. Even if you're trying not to overreact, it's hard not to envision him missing Washington's Week 4 contest with the New York Giants.

This could simply be a precaution, but it's more likely the Redskins aren't practicing him because the injury is too serious to let him. With the game on Sunday, that doesn't seem like much time for McLaurin to rest and heal up for action.

McLaurin was officially listed as questionable, so there's a chance he plays – but maybe don't bank on it.

This is absolutely a must-win for the Redskins. Maybe even more so for Jay Gruden and the coaching staff. The team is already 0-3 and 0-2 in the NFC East. Dropping this game to the Giants would put them in a hole that seems nearly impossible to dig themselves out of.

With that in mind, it might be all hands on deck. Due to that, some might think that if McLaurin is healthy enough, he might be put into action.

However, Washington has a superstar in the making in McLaurin. They likely won't want to mortgage his future to try and salvage a season that already appears to be lost.
