Houston Rockets small forward Danuel House kept it going on Sunday, as he put forth another noteworthy performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Rockets came out on top of this one, 117-102, and House definitely played his part in the victory.
Following the win, the 25-year-old shed some light on why he believes he has been playing well since he was called back by the Rockets from the G League.
“I would say my confidence level,” stated House, via Rockets insider Salman Ali. “I learned how to attack in certain spots and then of course I had to get a little better with my ball handling.”
House was feeling it against Minnesota, as he logged 14 points on a highly-efficient 5-of-6 from the field. He also recorded two three-pointers, seven rebounds, and two assists in 28 minutes off the bench.
That's now back-to-back impressive performances for the 6-foot-7 forward following his 18-point (with four three's) performance on Friday against the Phoenix Suns in a spot start for Chris Paul who was given the night off.
House went on to explain that he used his experience in the G League to improve his game as a whole, with an eventual return to the NBA serving as his primary motivation.
“When I went down (to Rio Grande Valley), I made sure that I worked on pivotal things that I thought was going to be important, so when I came back, I could excel in my role for this team,” he added.
House is on a contract with Houston until the end of the season, and with the team looking to rest its players within the next couple of weeks, he will likely be handed a fair amount of opportunities to showcase his intriguing skillset.
