Houston Rockets All-Star Russell Westbrook is being listed as doubtful for Tuesday night's game against the Hornets, according to team reporter Cayleigh Griffin.

Russell apparently suffered a thumb injury in Sunday's 117-109 victory over the Pelicans. Interestingly, not much is known about when the injury occurred, or how long he might need to recover:

According to a report from the Houston Chronicle, Westbrook left the Toyota Center with his thumb heavily wrapped after a session of treatment. The former UCLA standout later noted that a Pelicans player swiped down on his hand while going for the ball. He finished Sunday's game with 22 points, seven assists, six rebounds and one steal.

With Westbrook likely out for Tuesday's matchup against the Hornets, players like Eric Gordon and Danuel House could see an uptick in their usage rates. Ben McLemore and Austin Rivers should see a bit more playing time as well.

Westbrook has made 42 appearances with the Rockets this season, racking up averages of 26.4 points on 45.4 percent shooting from the field (23.4 percent from beyond the arc, so he has basically stopped shooting them), 8.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 35.9 minutes per outing.

Tuesday night's matchup between the Rockets and Hornets is scheduled to tip inside the Toyota Center at 8:00 p.m. ET. Houston will be looking to build on its last two victories, while Charlotte will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak.
