NBA veteran Austin Rivers has had to play under his father, Doc Rivers, for multiple years in his career as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers. Now, Austin is on the Houston Rockets, a fierce rival of the Clips.

The two teams faced off on Wednesday night, and Doc was ejected after a fiery dispute late in the fourth quarter. Austin responded as only a garrulous son would: by mocking his father’s anger and telling the referees to “T” him up.

After Doc was ejected, Austin reportedly motioned for Doc to “call him.” Ice-cold stuff from a player whose Basketball Reference nickname is Sub-Zero.

Rivers is having a strong low-usage season for the Rockets this year. Though the 27-year-old is shooting a career-high 42.9 percent from deep, he is doing it in a career-low 20.2 minutes per game on a minuscule 12.5 percent usage rate.

Still, despite various injuries, the Rockets are playing well, and Austin got the best of his dad on Wednesday.
