New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram is set to become a free agent, and he has some lofty goals set for himself coming into this season.

“I’m going into my ninth year, I feel like I’m better than ever,” Ingram said on an interview on the Rich Eisen show via Pro Football Talk. “I feel like my career’s still going up. I want to rush for 10,000 yards. Clearly, I want to win the Super Bowl. I just want to keep pressing forward, keep doing the best I can do and just control what I can control.”

Ingram has been in the league for eight years and has had a lot of success racking up 6,007 yards so far. He rushed for 645 yards which is an impressive number considering he split carries with Alvin Kamara and missed the first four games of the season because of a PED suspension.

The big question for Ingram is where he will end up next season. Kamara has made it clear that he would like to return to the Saints, but Ingram has made it clear he also would like to get a fair contract.

“Of course, I’d love to be in New Orleans for my career, my teammates, my family. I met my wife, my children there. Like I said, I love the organization, and I hope it all gets worked out. But at the same time, I have all confidence in my abilities and all confidence in what I can do given the opportunity to be a feature guy. So I’m not scared to bet on myself. At the same time, I’d love to be in New Orleans.”

It still seems like the best bet is that Ingram will be back with the Saints, but if they can't reach an agreement there should be a nice market for him.
