The New Orleans Saints' usual explosiveness in their offense was seemingly not present Thursday night.

In the first half, they've been absolutely contained because the Dallas Cowboys' defense stepped up.

What is more bizarre about the game is that Drew Brees doesn't seem to have his motor running. The 18-season veteran only passed for a dismal 39 yards in the first two quarters, per NFLResearch.

During that time, his current receivers were elementary students. Alvin Kamara is only nine years old, while Tre-Quan Smith is only eight.

Also, Brees hasn't broken his shoulder yet by that time. The injury would lead to his release by the Chargers as Philip Rivers took over for him in 2006.

The Saints were shutout in the first half for the first time since 2014. Mainly because of the lack of productivity by their offense.

Dallas has expressed their confidence about taking on the Saints tonight. Starting quarterback Dak Prescott recently stated that he wasn't worried about their game with the Saints.

Expectations for the 10-1 Saints are high this season as they've poured in mind-boggling numbers through 11 weeks.

They've won 10 straight and totally dominated a handful of good teams from the previous season. The defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles were roasted by the Saints last week 48-7. The Atlanta Falcons, meanwhile, also suffered the same fate last week, 31-17.

Expect observers to be shocked by this kind of performance that shows that Dallas has done a good job in figuring them out.
