Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner got some advice this offseason from one of the greatest to ever play basketball, Michael Jordan. The two sat down and talked about everything, and according to Wagner, he really tried to pick his brain on everything from training to the mindset while playing.

Wagner, who acts as his own agent, also asked Jordan how he would feel if one of his players approached him to negotiate their own contract.

“We got a chance to really sit down and just have a conversation with him,” Wagner told reporters Sunday. “We talked about his playing days, talked about his mindset—tried to steal some of his mindset—talked about training, talked about a bunch of different things. I asked him how he would feel if one of the players came and tried to negotiate a deal.

“What would be different? How would he see it? We just talked about a lot. It's just really cool to have a guy like that in your corner and have a guy like that willing to take the time to speak to you and take the time to give you that knowledge, pass the knowledge down. I felt like I could have asked him anything.”

Wagner is also a Jordan athlete, so it makes sense that the two guys would try to hook up and talk business. There has been talk the last few years about players negotiating their own contracts, but it appears to be working out for Wagner as he is now the highest-paid linebacker in football.
