The NFL's latest attempt to convince us that their acronym actually stands for No Fun League comes at the expense of Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver D.K. Metcalf.

After scoring an impressive touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars (his first of two on the day), Metcalf jumped into the goal post and hugged it, copying a touchdown celebration from Antonio Brown from 2015. Just like Brown, Metcalf was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for the celebration and later fined for it.

If it's any consolation, the $6,949 Metcalf got billed for wasn't as much as what Brown had to pay ($11, 576). Metcalf responded to news of the fine on Twitter by saying that no hug is worth that much money.

The fine and flag are just a mini bump on a season that has otherwise been smooth sailing for Metcalf. Entering this weekend, Metcalf's eight receiving touchdowns are tied for second in the league. He ranks 11th in receiving yards and, according to PFF, has completely carved up zone defenses this season.

While Metcalf is shining, the Seahawks haven't been able to find as much success. The right middle finger injury to star quarterback Russell Wilson set them back, as they're entering their bye week in last place of the NFC West with a 3-5 record. Wilson will be returning soon, but they have a ton of ground to make up, as two teams in their division (the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams) are 7-1.
