ESPN has predicted a big season for Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson.

In fact, ESPN ranked Carson 23rd among running backs in terms of fantasy outlook. The website predicted Carson will run for 1,097 yards and nine touchdowns on 252 carries. It also predicts he will record 201 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown on 24 receptions.

Carson posted 247 carries (seventh-most) for 1,151 yards (fifth-most) and nine scores (seventh-most) in 14 games as the lead back in Seattle's run-heavy offense.

Seattle's run-heavy scheme will be back in 2019, and Carson's terrific second season gives him the leg up on (Rashaad) Penny for the bulk of the backfield touches.

Carson's limited receiving role caps his upside a bit, but he'll touch the ball enough to allow fringe RB2 numbers and should be upgraded a bit in non-PPR.

The Seahawks emerged as the NFL's most dominant running team in 2018. They finished with 2,560 rushing yards. The duo of Carson and Penny should pile up more yardage on the ground next season.

Expect the Seahawks to resort to their run-heavy attack once again. ESPN predicts Carson to produce similar numbers in 2019. If that happens, he should become one of the most dominant running backs in the NFC West.

The Seahawks lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2018 NFC Wild Card Game. The former wants vindication next season. Seattle's ground attack should help the team go on a deeper postseason run in 2019. Carson figures to be an integral part of that.
