In the span of 14 months, Josh Gordon has called Cleveland, Foxborough and Seattle home. Now a member of the Seattle Seahawks, the wide receiver feels as if he is in the destination he wanted to be at in the first place.

Actually, yes for a long time,” Gordon told reporters on Saturday, via Pro Football Talk. “Me and Russ[ell Wilson] have been talking about it for a long time, for a while behind the scenes, how nice it would be… Here I am.”

The Seahawks claimed Gordon off of waivers nine days ago. He called the transition from New England to the Pacific Northwest “smooth,” saying the team has “a great environment, a great football team, and organization.”

Gordon said that he is excited to play with a quarterback and current MVP favorite Russell Wilson. The two have kept in contact over the course of their respective careers.

“I admire his game,” Gordon said of Wilson. “I think maybe he respected mine mutually. I love the way he plays, it’s as simple as that. He’s a great ball player, he can make it happen from pretty much anywhere… I guess we kind of just kept tabs on each other from time to time, and mutually admired each other’s game and saying, ‘What’s up?’ That’s about it. We always talked football, and I think we built some type of relationship prior to me getting here. It’s pretty nice to have that.”

Gordon and Wilson are planning on connecting on a lot of deep-balls with the Seahawks. That will start on Monday when Seahawks travels down to San Francisco to dual the undefeated 49ers.
