Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has just one year remaining on his deal, so naturally, there is a lot of talk about if and when the Seahawks will extend him.

However, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, there has not been any dialogue between Wilson and Seattle about a new contract, and the extension process has not even begun.

Wilson is coming off a terrific 2018 campaign in which he threw for 3,448 yards, 35 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 65.6 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 110.9, en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 29-year-old, who played collegiate football at the University of Wisconsin and North Carolina State, was originally selected by the Seahawks in the third round (75th pick) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He became Seattle's starting quarterback right out of the gate, making the Pro Bowl after throwing for 3,118 yards, 26 touchdowns and 10 picks while completing 64.1 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 100.

The following year, Wilson made yet another Pro Bowl, finishing with 3,357 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions, completing 63.1 percent of his passes and tallying a passer rating of 101.2. Most importantly, he led Seattle to a Super Bowl title.
