While the Russell Wilson trade rumors have died down a bit of late, a new report has come out to suggest that a move away from the Seattle Seahawks still remains imminent for the seven-time Pro Bowl quarterback.

In a recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show, ESPN's NFL insider Jeff Darlington expressed his belief that despite the seeming lack of movement, Wilson could still be on his way out of Seattle:

“It still doesn’t feel like we’re headed toward Russell Wilson in Week 1 in Seattle,” Darlington said, via Matt Johnson of Sportsnaut. “That’s just kinda based on, yes, what I know, in terms of where that relationship is at. It doesn’t feel like there is some sort of Kum Ba Yah thing going on where they’ve figured it out. It’s also just a little, instinctive sort of perspective based off what we’ve already experienced with other quarterbacks out there.”

The Chicago Bears were considered as one of the frontrunners to land Wilson, but their decision to sign Andy Dalton threw that prospect out the window. Nevertheless, there are still a number of teams in the running for Wilson, with the likes of the Las Vegas Raiders and the New Orleans Saints both linked to a swoop for the one-time Super Bowl champion QB.

The question that remains here is how much trade value the Seahawks have placed on Wilson. The Bears tried and failed to bring Wilson to Chicago, so it remains to be seen if other teams will be willing to meet Seattle's seemingly steep price tag on Wilson.
