Shaquille O'Neal has set his next aspirations on becoming a sheriff in 2020. While he didn't specify where, he said the move wasn't based on politics, but rather on bringing people closer together.

“Shaq says he’s perfect for the job, because he can relate to everyone,” according to NBC 11 Alive.

“I can put on a suit and have a conversation with Bill Gates. I can go in the hood and talk to the homies, and talk to the children,” the big man told the local news station.

The Diesel has pursued many endeavors after his career came to a close in 2011, from commercials, to video games, to becoming a part of the police force. O'Neal has always been an advocate of the police and their integrity, even going back to New Jersey and Louisiana to work with individual stations.

Shaq has been involved with law enforcement in four different states, either getting sworn in or serving as a reserve officer.

While he's been known to joke around plenty of times, his involvement around communities and track record with his willingness to help close the divide between citizens and police leads to think that he is serious about making this happen.

Despite not honing in a particular county, it is believed he could make a run at Henry County, Georgia — where he owns a home now that he works as a full-time NBA analyst on TNT, which is headquartered in Atlanta.
