Maybe Shaquille O'Neal isn't as salty as we all thought.

Shaq and Kobe Bryant haven't exactly had the best relationship over the years. So when Shaq wished Kobe a happy birthday with a tweet yesterday, many thought Shaq may have been throwing shade.

The original tweet Shaq sent out read “Congrats on your well deserved 4-28 day.” Some jumped to the conclusion that Shaq may have been referring to a particularly poor shooting night of Kobe's. Although Kobe has never shot 4-for-28 in a game, it still seemed plausible.

Shaq tweet

Turns out, it was just a typo by the Big Diesel.

Of course, what Shaq meant to tweet out was “Congrats on your well deserved 8-24 day.” That's more like it.

Kobe's birthday was yesterday while today is actually a special day for Kobe too after the Los Angeles City Council declared August 24 “Kobe Bryant Day” in honor of the two jersey numbers Kobe wore for the Lakers. Something that should only add more confusion for Shaq.
