Looks like Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers is not done firing shots against his former player Paul George. The Sixers coach unleashed a scorching revelation on Friday, claiming that some of the members of the L.A. Clippers locker room were not exactly fond of their other superstar.

In an ESPN report, the one-time NBA champion coach said the group immediately accepted Kawhi Leonard when he signed with the team in the summer of 2019. Although Doc did not exactly utter George's name, it's quite clear that he is talking about the controversial swingman when he said these words.

It's not hard to decipher who the “other new guy” Doc Rivers was pertaining to on this statement. Paul George also came over to the Clippers last season, shortly after Leonard agreed to a deal with his hometown team. The move was as controversial as they come, considering George just signed an extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder a year before. He even once claimed that he wants to spend the rest of his career in OKC, only to demand a trade a few months later.

The Clippers became immediate title contenders once Leonard and George joined the fold. The Clips, however, practically self-destructed in the 2020 Playoffs, resulting in Rivers' ouster from the team. Doc seems to be settling into his new situation in Philly when George claimed that his former head coach did not utilize his talents correctly. The six-time All-Star suggested that Doc used him as more of a spot-up shooter rather than an all-around player.

Rivers, meanwhile, tried to turn the other cheek at first but looks like he will no longer take George's slight sitting down. They kept things professional during their partnership with the Clippers but looks like all bets are now off after their latest testy exchange.
