The Philadelphia 76ers have officially added swingman Ryan Broekhoff to the club, and Sixers All-Star point-forward Ben Simmons is excited about it.

After all, Simmons and Broekhoff are both from Australia.

Ryan Broekhoff is a career 40.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc. The more shooters the Sixers can surround Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid with, the better.

The Sixers' seeding games schedule was released on Friday. They will face the Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets.

Prior to games getting suspended in March, Simmons was averaging 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists for the Sixers in 54 games. The lefty is expected to be fully recovered from the back ailment that was causing him problems late in the 2019-20 campaign.

As for Broekhoff, he appeared in 17 games with the Dallas Mavericks in 2019-20 before getting waived on February 11. The 6-foot-6 Aussie was putting up 4.2 points and 2.5 boards for the Mavs while shooting 37.3 percent from the floor, 39.2 percent from the 3-point line and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.

Once the 2020 playoffs start, the Sixers will ultimately go as far as Simmons and Embiid can lead the group. Philadelphia has lost in the second round of the playoffs in the last two postseasons, so the team will certainly be eager to go on a deep run this time around.

However, if the Sixers don't meet expectations, some pundits believe Simmons or Embiid could be moved and head coach Brett Brown could be fired. With that said, there's a lot riding on the Philly players at Walt Disney World.
