Philadelphia 76ers point forward Ben Simmons reportedly “stormed out” of an interview in Australia with Campbell Brown and Seven Network while in his home country practicing with the Boomers.

Simmons, 23, will not participate in Australia's bid for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China, but he decided to head to his native land to be ingratiated with his team, nonetheless.

However, it hasn't been only positives from the 6-foot-10 Simmons' trip back home. Simmons shared a now-deleted Instagram Story detailing how he and his other friends were denied entry in a Melbourne-based casino while a white friend was allowed in. After accusing Crown Casino for racially profiling Simmons and his friends, the Sixers player shared a video of his party reacting to the move by the casino's security. Simmons later tried to clarify what happened, and clearly this isn't something he wants to talk about much.

Speaking to The Friday Huddle on Triple M network, Chris Judd revealed what happened in the interview with Simmons and Brown (via news.com.au):

“The ([Campbell]Brown) Dog thought it was time to bring a little bit of sizzle. He said we’ve got a fair bit in common you and I. You drive a Maserati, I drive a Toyota Kluger. You’re worth $250 million and I’m borderline unemployed and the last thing we have in common is we’ve both been denied entry to Crown.”

“Ben Simmons said this interview’s done, cracked it, he stormed out and took the microphone off,’’ Judd said.

“Not unlike Lindsay Lohan, it’s understood Ben had a couple of things he didn’t want to speak about — which I think is personally reasonable when you’re a star of that size,” Judd said.

After Brown's crack at Simmons' expense, the former Rookie of the Year reportedly left the pre-recorded interview.
