Although he’s quickly becoming one of the best players in the NBA, Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons is still dealing with criticism thanks to his poor shooting abilities. One of those criticisms recently came from Cris Carter, who took to Twitter for a subtle jab at Simmons:

Obviously, the message for Simmons was clear here: He should start working on his shooting form, and do it immediately. While he’s already a prolific passer and one of the better defenders in the league, Simmons has yet to truly reach the upper echelon of the NBA simply due to his poor shooting. On the year, he shot 56% from the field, but he attempted no 3-pointers and is a poor free-throw shooter.

The Sixers could've used some improved shooting this season, and they'll want to see it in the future if they want to get to the next level. It’s unknown whether or not Jimmy Butler or Tobias Harris will return to the team, and although Joel Embiid is the anchor for Philadelphia, if both stars leave, that will take a huge chunk of shooting away.

With the Eastern Conference potentially wide open in the future, it’ll be interesting to see if Ben Simmons ups his game over the summer, or if he just commits to being a ferocious force in the paint and elsewhere on the court.
