Philadelphia 76ers center Dwight Howard did not hold back when reporters asked him about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dagger celebration following the Sixers’ overtime loss to the Bucks on Wednesday.

When asked about Giannis' antics, the one-time NBA champion said he wanted to do the Stone Cold Stunner on the Bucks star but didn’t do so because he was already called for a technical foul early in the game. Howard tallied 13 points and 15 rebounds, filling in the role of Joel Embiid, who’s out with an injured knee.

The Eastern Conference showdown between the Sixers and Bucks lived up to its hype. The Sixers had the lead throughout the game but the Bucks managed to rally for the comeback win behind Giannis’ impressive 31 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

The play that Howard reacted to was The Greek Freak's dagger, which he scored in the paint after an excellent executed move. Giannis celebrated by sitting down on the other side of the floor, much to the dismay of Howard, apparently.

The Sixers and Bucks are first and third, respectively in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks have won 10 of their last 11 games, while the Sixers have been surviving so far sans their own MVP candidate in Embiid. Howard, who is expected to see more minutes in their upcoming games, is averaging 6.0 points and 7.0 rebounds this season.

For what it’s worth, Dwight Howard was an important asset for the Los Angeles Lakers’ title run last season. Coming off the bench, he averaged 7.0 points and 7.0 rebounds and had a memorable stint in the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets as he clamped down on Nikola Jokic.
