After many years of disappointment, The Process looks like it's actually leading the Philadelphia 76ers somewhere. It also appears that the basketball community is not just the one taking notice.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz recently tweeted a photo of himself in a 76ers jersey with his own name on the back.

It's easy to assume that this is nothing but comradery among athletes representing the same city. But let's also remember that the Sixers are also doing relatively well this season to get this amount of hype.

The Sixers just won a game against the Toronto Raptors last Monday with a final score of 117-111. Considering that many believe that the Raptors are legitimate contenders this season, it's a good win for a team that has been widely criticized for tanking.

But all those years of losing are finally paying off. They have good cornerstones on the team in the form of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

In the Raptors game, Embiid had 34 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, while Simmons had 12 points, four assists, and two steals.

The brilliant plays of Embiid, Simmons and the rest of the team are keeping the Sixers in the playoff race.

But not everything is well in Philadelphia. Markelle Fultz, the No. 1 overall pick in the latest draft, has yet to go back to the court because of a shoulder injury. There is also some talk about his awkward shooting form.

Still, the ball is on the court of the Sixers. And it doesn't matter if Wentz's gesture is a mere sign of comradery or a genuine support for a team that is finally seeing the light after struggling in the dark for so long.

Expect Embiid and the Sixers to return the favor to Carson Wentz and the Eagles this coming Sunday, when Philadelphia hosts the Minnesota Vikings in an all-important NFC Conference Championship Game.
