Philadelphia 76ers sharpshooter J.J. Redick had an abrupt ending to his night during the Sixers' home game against the Sacramento Kings due to tightness in his right hamstring, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Redick started the contest and played for 20 minutes, but before he left the game for good in the fourth quarter, he scored eight points on 3-for-10 shooting from the field. That salty shooting line perhaps could be partly blamed on Redick’s ailing hamstring.

The severity of J.J. Redick’s injury is unknown as of the moment, and if the 32-year-old veteran needs to miss time to recover, the Sixers will mostly resort to Jerryd Bayless and T.J. McConnell to mitigate the impact of his absence. The Sixers, however, will have a full day of rest tomorrow before taking on the Toronto Raptors at home Thursday, so Redick has some time to check whether he can give it a go.

J.J. Redick is among the crucial pieces for the Sixers this season. He is averaging 16.9 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per contest in 28 games played so far. He’s supplying the Sixers a knockdown scorer from deep, as the former Duke Blue Devil is shooting 38.7 percent from long range.
