The series between the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat is over. But Joel Embiid still manages to sneak in a few jabs to Hassan Whiteside.

As discovered by Twitter user JayBeans15, Embiid commented on a post which involved his rival, Whiteside. In the post, the Heat's Pat Riley discussed Whiteside's struggles to get in shape mentally.

The Sixers star, in his usual way, slid in a little jab at Whiteside. Below is a screenshot:

Whiteside himself hasn't responded but from his previous comments about the rivalry, he knows Embiid's character. He's just going to talk trash whenever he has the opportunity to do so.

As per Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel, Whiteside commented before on Embiid's antics:

“I haven’t talked to Joel,” Whiteside said. “I don’t know. It’s just another opponent.” “He’s going to talk junk regardless if he wins or lose,” Whiteside said. “He just likes talking trash.”

Whiteside also knows that it's just a way for Embiid to engage with his fans. For the Sixers big man, trash talking may be a two-pronged tool — both to intimidate his opponents, and also to entertain his fans.

“He does a great job of interacting with fans, and fans love him,” Whiteside said. “He got like a cult following. They love him. It’s a big-time following.”

In the years to come, the Whiteside-Embiid rivalry will become a more heated battle. The two are relatively young. They haven't reached the pinnacle of their respective careers.

Once they reach their potential, basketball fans will be up for a classic big man combat.
