Philadelphia 76ers guard Landry Shamet suffered a right-ankle sprain in the team's first Summer League game, which forced him to miss the remainder of the action in Las Vegas. However, according to a report from Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers youngster has been fully cleared for training camp.

Via HoopsHype:

“I feel good,” Landry Shamet said, referring to his ankle. “We are progressing and working out and I don’t really need to speak on that too much, but I feel well, I feel good.”

The Sixers selected Shamet, now 21 years of age, with the 26th overall pick in this year's draft. The Kansas City native played three seasons of collegiate ball with the Wichita State Shockers, where he earned All-AAC and All-MVC First-Team honors.

Shamet played just three games in his freshman season with the Shockers before having to redshirt the season due to a foot injury.

In 71 appearances with the Shockers, Shamet racked up averages of 12.9 points on 48.0 percent shooting from the field (43.7 percent from beyond the arc), 4.1 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 28.0 minutes per outing.

Shamet was cleared for light activity in August, according to a report from Philly.com. Now, with just a few days remaining until the start of the 2018-19 preseason, it seems he's well enough to play.
