Mike Scott isn't the most notable player on the Philadelphia 76ers, but that didn't stop the sharp-shooting forward from becoming the personal favorite of one especially zealous fan, who now has a lifelong reminder of his affinity for Scott on his body.

In March, Matthew del Rio, a Sixers fan and blogger who writes for both Liberty Ballers and Sixers Film Room, tweeted that he would get a Scott-inspired tattoo if he reached 1,000 twitter followers the day after the tweet in question was posted. Now with over 2,600 followers, del Rio confirmed he lived up to his word on Tuesday, when he tweeted an image of a text-only tattoo that reads “MIKE SCOTT HIVE.”

Fortunately, Sixers twitter wasn't the only one to lose its collective mind over del Rio's new ink. Scott himself took notice, too, responding with profane excitement over del Rio's tattoo – specifically with regard to the signature headband over the ‘O.'

Even better? Scott said on Wednesday that he's giving del Rio tickets to Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Scott, by the way, has missed the first two games of his team's tilt with the Toronto Raptors as he deals with a lingering heel injury. He was key during certain points of Philadelphia's six-game win over the Brooklyn Nets in the first round, especially in Game 2, when he came off the bench to score 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.

Beating the Raptors in a seven-game series will take a team effort for the Sixers. Scott may not seem all that integral to his team's fortunes, but given Philadelphia's lack of depth, has emerged as a key source of offense off the bench – and, clearly, endeared himself to fans in the process.
