The Philadelphia 7ers capitalized on a slow start from the Brooklyn Nets to close out their first round playoff series in Game 5, 122-100.

It's the second straight year that the Sixers are moving on with relative ease to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Though they dropped game one to the Brooklyn Nets, the team came storming back and reeled off four straight convincing wins — none of which was as convincing as Tuesday night’s evisceration of Brooklyn in Philadelphia.

The Sixers led the game wire-to-wire and they galloped out to a whopping 30-6 advantage with 2:11 left in the first quarter. The opening frame ended with a stunning 32 to 15 advantage in Philly’s favor, and they never let up after that.

It was a dominant effort from the Sixers, which sets up a second round series with the second-seeded Toronto Raptors.

Philadelphia’s starters were utterly dominant in this one, with each starter securing an on/off rating of at least +26. Joel Embiid was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder with 23 points and 13 boards in only 20 minutes of action — meaning he’ll be fully rested for what will be a taxing matchup with Marc Gasol in the Sixers’ next series.

Each active player on Philly’s roster scored at least two points, and the only player who scored less than 5 points was Mike Scott, who left the game with a heel contusion.
