Philadelphia 76ers general manager Elton Brand says second-year point guard Markelle Fultz is still doing strictly physical therapy at the moment and has not participated in basketball activities yet.

Markelle Fultz, 20, is currently rehabbing from thoracic outlet syndrome.

Before he left the Sixers and met with multiple shoulder specialists, Markelle Fultz was averaging 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 19 contests. The former No. 1 overall pick out of the University of Washington was shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 56.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Markelle Fultz is currently in Los Angeles. The Sixers take on the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day in Boston and Brand says Fultz will be with the team.

No one knows if Markelle Fultz is going to play again this season. The injury which he has sounds pretty serious and it explains why his jump shot and free-throw routine have looked so repulsive. At this point, you just hope that Fultz is in a good place mentally, because his first two seasons in the NBA have been a nonstop fiasco.

There have been rumors circulating that the Sixers could trade Fultz when he's cleared to play basketball again. It's hard to envision a scenario, though, where Philly gets anything of value in return for the combo guard.
