Philadelphia 76ers small forward Wilson Chandler will return to the lineup for Monday night's showdown with the Miami Heat. Chandler already played three games for the Sixers after missing the team's first nine games. However, the coaching staff opted to rest him during their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 6-foot-8 combo forward has been on a minutes restriction in his first three games back from sustaining a hamstring injury. Now that head coach Brett Brown is inserting him into the starting lineup, perhaps his minutes will go up.

Chandler, 31, has been a quality role player throughout his career. After spending his first three years in the league with the New York Knicks, he was then shipped to the Denver Nuggets as part of the 2011 Carmelo Anthony trade. He has career averages of 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Chandler should help improve the Sixers' 22nd-ranked 3-point attack. He did just that in his previous game against the Charlotte Hornets when he drained two of his three attempts from deep.

Still, there's no telling if Wilson Chandler will stay with the starting unit once newly acquired superstar Jimmy Butler is put into the starting lineup. Most people believe Markelle Fultz will be the one left out, as he would have the opportunity to be a spark plug off the bench and lead the second unit.

The Sixers are currently sitting on an 8-6 record as they look to improve on that with a win over the Heat.
