The Philadelphia 76ers were in for a rebirth after years of “trusting the process”.
Armed with a group of promising youngsters, the patience of everyone within the organization and its fans seemed to have been rewarded, until an unfortunate event happened.
In a cruel twist of fate, Ben Simmons, the one tasked to carry the Sixers back to relevance, suffered a fractured foot during practice. This was as gut-wrenching as it could be, and players, along with media personalities, around the league expressed a mixture of shock and well wishes over social media.

But the most insightful of all comes from a very credible source.
Ben Simmons puts on 33 lbs, now a broken foot. Related? For sure. Athletes can't add that much weight that quickly w/out impacting movement.
