A symbol of stability in the NBA for the past two decades, no one predicted any kind of drama surrounding the San Antonio Spurs franchise this season. But somehow, that hasn't been the case.

Kawhi Leonard's quad injury has had him missing most of the season while the situation surrounding his return has caused the most concern.

Leonard was cleared to play by the Spurs doctor, but not by his own personal doctor and Leonard has taken the precaution route as he is still yet to have come back to the lineup. Many stories have come out throughout this saga including a report this week regarding a players-only meeting by the Spurs.

The whole deal has caused more questions than answers and now head coach Gregg Popovich is here to set the record straight for those wanting to find someone to blame.

Popovich surely isn't a fan of the drama surrounding his team these days, as they are struggling to even make the playoffs this season. It's no surprise this is his response when addressing the situation.

It will be interesting to see if Leonard does come back this season and the effect he will have on the team. The former Defensive Player of the Year has been in the MVP conversation as well the past few seasons, and certainly has the potential to transform the Spurs if he can return to the lineup as his old self.
