The San Antonio Spurs got a much-needed boost ahead of their game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, with both LaMarcus Aldridge and Derrick White available to play.

The two players were initially listed as probable for the game. Aldridge was dealing with an undisclosed illness on Saturday while White was said to be suffering from a right heel soreness.

While Aldridge is expected to play, however, White will likely remain on the bench. According to reports, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has no plan to use him in order to ease him back to the rotation. San Antonio will be playing the second of a back-to-back on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Entering Sunday's game, Aldridge is averaging 20.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game for San Antonio. He is also shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 84.6 percent from the charity stripe.

On the other hand, White is putting up 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest. He is shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 34.4 percent from 3-point range and 76.4 percent from the free-throw line.
