In news you probably weren't expecting to read today, Batman is helping the Pittsburgh Steelers stay in shape.

OK. This is a “well, kind of” situation. We're not talking about Batman in a literal sense. Michael Keaton or Christian Bale (or any of the other Batmans that are bad) are not traveling to Pittsburgh to get some Steelers in shape by way of some crazy technology from Wayne Enterprises.

Thomas Tull, former head of Legendary Pictures, which financed the Batman Dark Knight trilogy, is helping the NFL franchise and its player with fitness stuff.

“Nutrition is what so many people are doing nowadays — whether all natural, organic, grass-fed,” Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “It’s good for all of us. It’s making all of us better.”

The boring stuff here is that Tull uses advanced-data to help Pittsburgh players know what to put in their body, how much they need to workout to remove it, and so on.

Yeah. That is more boring than Michael Keaton dropping down from the rafters to spot Big Ben while he is attempting to bench press some weight.

There are currently no reports about the Joker helping the Philadelphia Eagles with that team's crossfit workout regime. But if we know anything about that cagey guy, there's zero way he's allowing anyone connected to Batman get a one-up — even if it is on a football field.

OK. Sorry. I am all out of Batman references and we jumped the shark 40 words deep into this newser.

Wait. One more. Pittsburgh's official NFL hashtag on Twitter is #HereWeGo. That's a Joker line. Are the Steelers trying to trick the Dark Knight via fitness?
