Over the weekend, Cincinnati Bengals star linebacker Vontaze Burfict was told by the NFL that he potentially faces a four-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. Burfict plans to appeal the suspension and actually named Pittsburgh Steelers rising star receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster as part of the appeal.

According to an article written by NFL Insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Burfict's appeal of the suspension indirectly lists Smith-Schuster as an excuse for his PED violation.

“Burfict's appeal will center around the fact that he was on prescribed medication for the concussion he suffered on a hit from Steelers' wide receiver Ju-Ju Smith Schuster on Dec. 4 and that he suffered a Grade 3 shoulder AC sprain during the Detroit Lions game on Dec. 24 and was on prescribed medications for this injury as well, per another source,” Schefter reported.

Smith-Schuster got word of this on St. Patrick's Day and couldn't resist the urge to troll Burfict on Twitter about his PED excuse.

The 21-year-old wide receiver, who was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Steelers after a successful college career at USC, also posted a Fortnite-inspired video clip of his huge block on Burfict from back in December's game against the Bengals.

Burfict is no stranger to suspensions, whatsoever, and is considered to be one of the NFL's dirtiest players.

The former Arizona State linebacker was suspended for the first three games of the 2017-18 season for an illegal hit on Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman and the first three games of 2016-17 season for an illegal hit on Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown during an AFC Wild Card game.

This is just another great reason to be sure to grab some popcorn when both of these teams play each other twice next season.
