It didn't take long for linebacker Myles Jack to find a new home. A day after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jack is reportedly signing a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jack is expected to sign a two-year deal worth $16 million. The 26-year-old was cut by the Jaguars in a cap-clearing move, as Jacksonville went on a spending spree in free agency after agreeing to terms with six free agents on Tuesday.

The Steelers have also been retooling in the post Ben Roethlisberger era. The team recently signed Mitchell Trubisky as their new QB, and they followed it up by adding protection for him with the signing of James Daniels.

Myles Jack's arrival should be a huge boost to a team that ranks in the bottom half of the NFL in defensive rating in 2021. For the Jaguars last season, Jack led the team in tackles with 108. Furthermore, he also had at least 107 tackles in three of the past four campaigns.

Pittsburgh needs every help they can get as they look to start a new era without Roethlisberger. They did make the playoffs last campaign, but it was largely because the lack of strong competition in the conference. But with the Cincinnati Bengals growing in confidence and Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens eyeing roster upgrades, they need to keep up.
