As the Pittsburgh Steelers began to take on the Cincinnati Bengals today, there was something special for the Steelers' franchise. Ryan Shazier, the linebacker who suffered a serious spinal injury last season, was back in Paul Brown Stadium for the first time since the injury.

Shazier's career is in jeopardy, although he has maintained that he would like to play football again. That being said, there is a very good chance that the injury will end up forcing him to retire.

Aditi Kinkhabwala of the NFL Network took to Twitter to share a video of Shazier walking onto the field where he suffered his injury.

Pittsburgh will always love Shazier and whether he returns or not will remember how dominant he was. Seeing him walk back onto the field in the same stadium that he was injured in showed a lot of strength and courage. He also seems to be walking better than he did when he was at the NFL Draft.

Hopefully, Shazier's recovery will continue improving, and he will be able to get back to full strength. Even if he is unable to play football again, he has a future in the sport.

If his career has come to an end, Shazier will have finished with 299 career tackles to go along with seven sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, and 25 defended passes.

Shazier will go down as one of the most athletic playmakers at the linebacker position in this era of football. He will also serve as a reminder that football is just a sport and how fast things can change due to injury.
