Earlier this week, LeBron James said Stephen Curry was deserving of the MVP award and that he was the best player in the NBA this season. But the Cleveland Cavaliers small forward questioned whether the true most valuable player was crowned.

Per ESPN:

I think sometimes the word ‘valuable' or best player of the year, you can have different results. You know, that's not taking anything from anyone that's ever won the award. When you talk about most ‘valuable' then you can have a different conversation, so, take nothing away from him, he's definitely deserving of that award, for sure.

Today, Curry responded — sort of. The Golden State Warriors point guard didn't have much to say on the matter, and brushed aside James' comments.

I've gotten really good at ignoring people. That is the theme of the last two years.

It's not much of a surprise that Curry didn't have much of a response. He already one-upped LeBron by winning the award, so there's no real reason for him to really fire back. It was a little confusing as to why he would ignore James, since he did say that Curry was deserving of the award.

In any case, if the Cavs and Warriors meet again in the NBA Finals, however, this should make for one more juicy storyline for everyone to follow.
