Through his first eight years in the league, Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry has developed into arguably the best shooter in the NBA.

Curry has played a significant part in his team's success over the last few seasons that has resulted in some lengthy playoff runs behind his shooting from beyond the arc. During Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, he passed up a future first-ballot Hall of Famer in Kobe Bryant for fifth all-time in 3-pointers made in the NBA playoffs.

The tiebreaking 3-pointer came on an impressive play as he used his ball handling skills to free gain some space from Spurs' guard Bryn Forbes for a step-back attempt from beyond the arc. Curry was able to accomplish this feat in just 70 career postseason games while it took Bryant 220 games to reach that mark.

Granted, the game has changed much over the last several years with a heavy reliance on the 3-point shot, it's nonetheless an eye-popping stat. It will be just a matter of time before he zooms his way up to the top of the list past Ray Allen‘s 385 made triples.

Next on the list is LeBron James, who is at 314 entering Tuesday night followed by Manu Ginobili at 318 and Hall of Famer Reggie Miller at 320. With the Warriors heading to a third straight NBA Finals, Curry could foreseeably jump as high as the second overall spot depending on how far James takes the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year's playoffs.
