The Golden State Warriors got a much-needed victory to end their three-game losing streak. Superstar Stephen Curry scored 30 of the team's 61 second-half points to defeat Milwaukee Bucks 122-121.
The Dubs were down most of the second half, but Curry and the Warriors would not accept losing as an option on Tuesday night. Curry talked about playing more minutes than Kerr had planned for him.
“Considering where we are right now and the way the game was shaping out. It was winning time, and thankfully it worked out, so I don't know what that looks like on the season when I play a couple of extra minutes what our record is, but it was necessary tonight,” Warriors star Stephen Curry told Clutchpoints.
The Dubs repeatedly find themselves in tight situations down the stretch, and it started to feel like they developed the bad habit of losing these types of games.
Even though Curry had 41 points, it was a total team effort that decided the game. Warriors first-round draft pick James Wiseman had his third double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
“For him to have a double-double, I think he had it pretty early in the game. It was just showing us the confidence when he's out there to do these little things really well, and then over time, he'll be able to expand his game,” Stephen Curry said.
Tuesday night's win gives the Warriors a record of 24-27. The marathon will continue Friday as the Washington Wizards and Russell Westbrook challenges the Dubs in the Chase Center.
