Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell burst onto the scene last season and is primed to have an even better campaign in year two. In 79 games during his rookie year, Mitchell averaged 20.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 43.7 percent from the field, 34.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 80.5 percent from the free-throw line. He made the All-Rookie team as well.

Mitchell took his game to another level in the 2018 playoffs, showing no signs of timidness. The explosive guard averaged 24.4 points in 11 games in the postseason and helped the Jazz defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round in six games. Expectations are high for Mitchell's sophomore season, and former NBA player Stephon Marbury doesn't want Mitchell to limit his goals.

After the Jazz's first preseason win over the Perth Wildcats, Mitchell posted on his Instagram account “Good to be back.” Marbury, clearly a fan of Mitchell, replied to the post and told the Jazz star to “go for MVP.”

Donovan Mitchell has drawn comparisons to a young Dwayne Wade. He's a high-flyer at the guard position and can score from all areas of the floor. He's also built mentally like a superstar player. He has that killer mindset already and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

The Jazz have an extremely bright future with Mitchell as the main cog. He's a humble player and puts in hard work day in and day out. Expect Mitchell to be an All-Star this season and carry the Jazz to new heights.
