ESPN's Baxter Holmes dropped the bombshell report on Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver, which is based on interviews with 70-plus current and former Suns employees. The piece features numerous allegations of racism and misogyny inside the Suns organization, with Sarver specifically involved in some of the incidents.

Suns part owner and vice chairman Jahm Najafi released a statement on the report and condemned the allegations as “unacceptable.” Najafi concludes by saying he wants to make sure there's full accountability:

Interestingly enough, there's an anonymous quote from a Suns co-owner in the ESPN story:

“The level of misogyny and racism is beyond the pale,” one Suns co-owner said about Sarver. “It's embarrassing as an owner.”

Whether this quote is from Najafi or not, it's notable that a current co-owner was willing to say this, even if it was anonymous. And then we have this public statement from Najafi, who's trying to make sure there's at least some accountability here.

We'll see if the NBA takes any action against Sarver here. Will they try to force him out of the NBA like Donald Sterling a few years back? These are some really ugly accusations coming from a lot of different places, so there will surely be an investigation.
