EuroHoops article posed the potential for the Phoenix Suns to consider L.A. Clippers point guard Milos Teodosic, but local radio voice John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 Phoenix says the suspicion is “exaggerated,” as the point man is not expected to get any roster consideration.

The Serbian international is expected to be waived and become a free agent, but the Suns won't be the ones making bids.

“He [Teodosic] certainly is one of the names we [Suns] discuss,” head coach Igor Kokoskov said in an interview with Serbian website Sport Klub, per EuroHoops.

It's worthy to note that Kokoskov is a Serbian-American, and was likely paying some respect to one of his country's best talents at the position.

The Suns won't re-sign point guard Elfrid Payton, who was acquired at the trade deadline for a second-round pick earlier this year, leaving the door open for several free-agent point guards looking to join the fold with a cemented star in Devin Booker and one in the making in recently-drafted Deandre Ayton.

Teodosic posted 9.5 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 rebounds, averaging 25.2 minutes per game in 2017-2018, his first season in the NBA.

Suns general manager Ryan McDonough noted the team will look for an experienced point guard to pair with Booker, who got the brunt of the playmaking duties last season, sitting out the end of the year with injury complications.
