With Tom Brady back under center, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a fighting chance in the NFC. We'll see how the season plays out, but the roster is only a few key pieces away from being a contender once again. For that reason, we take a look at what the Buccaneers might do with a 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Tampa Bay is defensively sound for the most part. However, the offense could use some help. It's up in the air whether or not Rob Gronkowski comes back and this team could look to take a tight end early. The Buccaneers also need a guard, so don't be shocked if the front office prioritizes the offensive line.

With that said, here is our Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Buccaneers 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1 – 27th Pick Overall: Trey McBride (TE)

Some might think this is a reach, but considering Cameron Brate is the only tight end on the roster right now, it would be wise of Tampa Bay to take Trey McBride. Even if Gronkowski returns, the Buccaneers should still consider McBride. He's easily the best tight end available in the NFL Draft this year and could make an immediate impact playing alongside Tom Brady.

Round 2 – 60th Pick Overall: Dylan Parham (G)

With Alex Cappa signing with the Cincinnati Bengals and Ali Marpet calling it a career, the Buccaneers should look to add a guard in the second round of the NFL Draft. Dylan Parham would likely compete for a starting job right away, as he's one of the more talented prospect interior linemen. Parham makes tremendous sense for Tampa Bay as he has the potential to be a consistent starter for years to come.

Round 3 – 91st Pick Overall: James Cook (RB)

Tampa Bay enjoys using a running back committee and with Ronald Jones Jr. gone, we could see the front office take a rookie running back early. James Cook is like a miniature version of his brother, Dalvin Cook. If that's true, then the Buccaneers might find their successor for Leonard Fournette. If Cook falls to this team in the third round, the front office should consider reeling him into the roster.

The Buccaneers don't necessarily need an offensive tackle, but Matt Waletzko is a solid prospect through and through. He needs some time to develop, but Waletzko has the potential to be a starting tackle in the league one day. Tampa Bay has two solid tackles already, but Matt Waletzko provides the depth that is missing.

Round 7 – 248th Pick Overall: Doug Kramer (C)

It's hard for seventh-rounders to make much of an impact in the NFL, especially during their rookie year. Regardless, Doug Kramer would be a high-end prospect for the Buccaneers, as they need a consistent backup behind Ryan Jensen. If Kramer lands in Tampa Bay, look for him to compete for the backup job during training camp.

Round 7 -261st Pick Overall: McKinley Williams (S)

This team isn't desperate for defensive players right now, but McKinley Williams could be on the Buccaneers' radar in the seventh round. It's unlikely he'd play a prominent role in the secondary, but Williams can provide some consistency on special teams. He'd be a smart selection for Tampa Bay, as he has the potential of being a long-time special teams player.
