The Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson are at a standoff, with Watson wanting to be traded elsewhere this offseason. While Houston is holding out hope that Watson changes his mind, Watson has recently deleted all of his affiliations with the Texans on social media, per the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson.

In recent seasons, the Texans have done just about everything to convince Watson to request a trade. Nevertheless, Watson signed an extension with the organization last offseason, which some believed was his way of committing long-term to the franchise.

However, to begin this offseason, the Texans have seemingly left Watson out of the loop on their offseason hirings, leading him to want out of Houston. Despite Watson's eagerness to be traded, Nick Caserio — the new general manager of the Texans — iterated that Houston is interested in keeping him on the roster.

David Culley, the new head coach of the Texans, also shared the same sentiment that Watson is going to remain with the organization. With that being said, Watson holds all of the power in this situation as he was given a no-trade clause in his new contract.

Given Watson's age and talent, there is going to be a massive number of teams looking to acquire him via trade. The three-time Pro Bowler has reportedly listed the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets as his preferred landing spots.

Seeing that social media is as prevalent as ever in sports, deleting a team's affiliation on social media is the equivalent of someone breaking up with you. While Watson is technically still a member of the Texans right now, he's showing that already beginning the process of moving on from them.
